Hi, I'm James. I am a wedding photographer and filmmaker based in Southern California. My goal is to provide you with an authentic documentation of your wedding day that tells the story of your love in an artful way. I am inspired by the styles of contemporary art and editorial photography, as well as Cinéma vérité, a style of documentary filmmaking that literally translates to "truth cinema" or "truthful cinema."
I also curate the contemporary art photography instagram page @outofservicemag with a couple of my close friends.

My Approach
& Style
I love storytelling. "Truthful cinema" is a style of documentary filmmaking developed by Edgar Morin and Jean Rouch. It combines improvisation with use of the camera to unveil truth or highlight subjects hidden behind reality. My love for film combined with my love for contemporary art and editorial photography results in my signature style. Authentic, truthful but with an aesthetic edge. By embracing real moments and emotions, as well as style, I create a visual narrative that authentically reflects the uniqueness of your love story, providing you with heartfelt and unforgettable memories.
